GAMBLER'S FORTUNE ("Gambler"), a full brother to "Dez," was our second foal - and he was a twin! The other did not live through the birthing, and "Gambler" was so tiny we had to elevate him to suckle. He was very ill and required a great deal of care, including five shots daily and several trips to the vet for intravenous treatment, and still we were unable to engage his immune system. Finally our vet resorted to a blood transfusion from his brother "Dez." Success - this little guy made it! He was bred as an incentive for our son Bruce (who was experiencing back problems). Bruce named him - "Gambler" for the odds on him living, and "Fortune" for the cost to keep him living. Although he lives at Circle Double L Stables, he has become a wonderful friend and family member of Bruce and Angela, and our grandkids Tim, Elizabeth and Tabitha.

Bruce reminds "Gambler" about the "back-up" cue, and the kids enjoy riding and grooming him.
